New lists for hot prospecting

The mailing list is the most important element of a direct mail promotion. The rule of thumb is that the list is worth 50%, the offer 30% and the creative is 20%. You can spend thousands of dollars creating eye-catching brochures, but unless you mail it to the correctly targeted list, it can still fail. Here are some targeted lists that could fit your next direct mail offering.

Mobile Home Occupant Database – Mobile home residents are tough to reach. This multi-sourced compiled database of mobile home addresses targets a largely untapped marketplace. These are good prospects for financial, automotive and retail offers.

Audio/Video Buffs – This file consists of people who purchase and enjoy music and movies. They keep up with anything new in home entertainment equipment and gadgets. They’re a good audience for music/movie clubs, electronics, travel and entertainment.

Born To Shop – Reach responsive female shoppers who frequent department stores for family and household items. They’ve made credit card purchases at stores like JC Penney, Macy’s and Sears in the last 12 months.

Political Donors – This list represents political donors in the US who give to election campaigns, political action committees and organizations for legislation. They tend to be middle male professionals with annual incomes of over $100,000.

Likely Wisconsin Voters – This file was compiled from voter registration and polling records. It contains over 2 million Wisconsin voters from the last 5 elections. Those voting in 2 or more of these elections are community minded and likely to vote again.
